London Play's Project

As part of the EQUIPE Development Partnership, London Play received around £50,000 over two years towards developing a mentoring, assessment and accreditation scheme for Quality in Play (QiP) which has been integrated within the Government's Investors in Children quality assurance framework. They provided Quality Assurance mentor training for 20 people, with supplementary training in social enterprise models, sustainable development and inclusive practice. Their main objectives were:

  • To set up management and administrative structures for a Quality Assurance programme.
  • To provide mentor training and support for projects to implement Quality in Play (QiP).
  • To provide independent assessment and external DfES registered accreditation.
  • To obtain/maintain relevant accreditation of programme within DfES Investors in Children (IiC) Programme.
